I finally got it! That first cool, crisp breeze that hits you in the face all of the sudden after waking up in Florida on a much anticipated October morning. When I walked outside the other day and smelt Autumn in the air, we threw on our coziest clothes and headed out for our morning walk, like we do every year on that first “official” day of fall. It was windy outside and there was definitely a drop in the temperature, making it hard not to notice the first introduction of cold weather that’s come to visit, and hopefully stay, to linger around in this humid air.
The dock we walk to by our house is full of mulch and dirt roads, so a fancy pair of boots is the last thing I wanted to wear. That’s why I love these affordable & comfortable slip on black riding boots. They’re easy to pull on, didn’t cost a fortune, can get banged up and scuffed up all they want and I won’t care, plus they’re still cute. The sweater scarf has been patiently awaiting it’s turn to see the light of day, hanging there peacefully in my closet this whole time until it wasn’t so hot out. It was an easy decision to grab this and throw it on, especially when I’ve been saving it for a cool autumn day like this, and it covers just about everything. In fact, I didn’t even bother changing the little black lace tank I had on beforehand, I just threw my sweater scarf on over it and hit the road…w/ Jack. 😊
If you’re as excited about winter as I am, throw your hands up in the air and shout out “Pumpkin Spice!”, then go & grab a sweater scarf that wears out just as nice.
