Into The Woods

Happy early Halloween, readers! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite pictures of the kids. When Little Trendsetter sent us this adorable deer knit hoodie, I immediately thought of putting him in the woods next to his sister who already had a heavy, wool cape that screamed Little Red Riding Hood. Together I thought the two of them would knock out this themed shoot, and they did! I’m so proud of my babies and how these came out & I hope you enjoy them, too!

He may not have been the big bad wolf, but that’s because my little man is too sweet to go huffing & puffing to blow anyone’s house down. Instead, he was the protective deer in the woods, overlooking his big sis like he usually does.

Red Wool Cape: Gymboree (sold out) similar hereLace Dress: Beautees of LA (I removed the 3/4 length sleeves). Red Heels: Healthtex. Same style in flats hereDeer Hoodie: Little Trendsetter. Blue Jeans: Charlie Rocket.

I could go on and on about how much fun we had that day & how cute it was to witness Marco examine his first prickly pine cone… or how blessed I feel to be fortunate enough to obtain sponsorships from amazing companies like Little Trendsetter as well as countless other retailers at such an early stage, but not much narrative is needed here. Sometimes, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, 11,000! I hope everyone has their pumpkins carved and costumes ready, because we only have 2 more days until the Monster Mash begins!

The juxtaposition of siblings against fairy tale is priceless. While I’m totally decoupled from Halloween at this point, it’s nice to have those memories reawakened. My youngest son, in particular, really loved the camera. It wasn’t until he took Photo Shop in high-school that he began to shy away from it. Something about taking pictures of other people…
