DIY Honey Mask Treatment

Alright, so here it is… My best kept secret to keeping my skin flawless all year long. Would you believe me if I said it was so effective, so natural and so easy that it only costs… Under $10? Probably not! But it’s true! Here’s what you’ll need:

1. Cut & squeeze the juice of one lemon into a small dish. I use my small Bijou candle bases, once the candle is done they can be washed in the dishwasher and reused for just about anything.

2. Pour 2 Tbsp. of RAW honey into the dish. Raw honey is important, not the basic kind you find next to the peanut butter. I buy mine at my local farm and it’s called Florida’s Orange Blossom Honey.

3. Mix gently in the dish until well combined. Next, heat the honey in a microwave for about 15 seconds, until just warm.

4. Gather all your essentials and head on over to the bathroom. Honey is extremely sticky, so I like to have everything within arm’s reach to prevent making a sticky mess.

5. Pin your hair back.

6. Start with a clean face. Dab the honey mixture all over your face and spread evenly until your entire face is covered with the warm honey.

7. Wait about 15 minutes, as you’re waiting gather your favorite bath essentials and start a hot bath. (Optional, of course).

8. Rinse face with warm water. At first, I was worried the honey would never come off, but a little warm water takes it right off without a problem.

9. Pat dry. Not rub, just pat.

10. You’re done! Now hop in that hot bath! Make sure to bring your candles to give yourself the true spa feeling, you might as well because that’s exactly what you just did at a fraction of a cost!

Once I used my honey mask, I rinsed the dish out in the sink and was able to quickly refill it with one of my favorite Bijou candles. From a serving dish to another luxury candle, perfect for this!

  1. Wow ..I’ve been looking for something like this for my face and truly this is so easy and cheap to do lol…I’m going to give it try on Friday and let you know how it goes…Also I have a question on your pictures if you don’t mind..Since the word press update happened my pictures don’t look the same when I upload them as when I edit them..I’m the type of person that if my pictures don’t look crisp I’m not happy..Has this been happening to you as well? I think not because your pics look really nice just as before…

Yea definitely give it a try! And dab with your finger over blackheads and the honey pulls it right out like a pore strip! And are you talking about the WordPress phone app update? Because I haven’t updated yet, I’m bad with keeping up with that. And I only upload from my phone so I have no idea what it’s like on the computer! I haven’t noticed any changes myself but I have a feeling if you look under settings and look for “upload” option I’m sure there’s something there you can check.

Oh you’re gonna love it!! If you have blackhead areas, dab your finger on top over and over, the honey will stick to the blackheads and pull them right out before you rinse! I probably should have added that in the post lol. No pore strips needed!
