Wearing jeans used to be the trademark of all-time casual, but these days they’re a staple. Denim on denim can also be something tricky to accomplish, but even with the twice present laid back fabric, there’s still ways to dress it up.
Keeping the washes in the same tone helps give your overall denim on denim style a more uniformed look, but mixing white denim with dark is another favorite of mine, too. There’s really no rules, it’s all about dressing it up with accessories because that’s what will take it from super casual to super chic. A trendy blanket scarf like this monogrammed one from Finley Lane, leather pumps and a nice bag really make a big difference and allow you to take your outfit from day to night, finishing it off with that high-end look.
The shoes are by Monica Stålvang, a Norwegian designer who’s shoes are hand crafted in Italy and they are a beautiful bronze color so it goes with everything. She puts emphasis on statement pieces with good structure and clean cuts and they all have a mixture of roughness and femininity, just my style. You can see her entire collection here.
The bag was sent to me by Bag Borrow or Steal, I’ve recently teamed up with them to show you all the ingenious way one can have a rotating closet of designer bags at a fraction of a cost and have more posts highlighting their awesome company coming up soon.
Don’t forget that if all else fails, a great statement necklace and bracelets can transform any look in an instant, so don’t count out your blue jeans for date night just yet because with the right amount of accessorizing and imagination you can make even denim overalls look stunning… Not that I’m suggesting you go out for date night in them. Or, why not! Personal style is personal and is beautiful in every way, and I’m sure if anyone can rock the overalls look while out on the town, it’s you. 😊
